1. What is confidential

Anything you receive from David French or Black Wolf Digital LLC in connection with the project: source code, game builds, art, models, animations, audio, design documents, roadmaps, unreleased features, financials and business plans. Whether or not it is marked confidential. It stays confidential until it is public through no fault of yours.

2. What you agree to do with it

Use it only to do the work you were engaged for. Do not share it, publish it, post it, upload it to a public repository, or feed it to a third-party service that trains on or retains it. Keep it somewhere reasonably secure. When the work ends, delete your copies on request.

3. The work you produce belongs to David French

Everything you create for the project, including code, art, shaders, effects, levels and documentation, is a work made for hire and belongs to David French / Black Wolf Digital LLC on creation. Where that does not apply automatically, you assign it, in full, worldwide, permanently. You keep the right to use general skills and knowledge you already had or developed.

4. Nothing gets reused

You will not reuse the project code, assets or designs in any other project, yours or anyone else's. If you want to show the work in a portfolio, ask first and we will usually say yes once it is public.

5. Third-party and open-source material

Tell us before you bring in anything you did not write, including asset packs, plugins and open-source libraries, and name the licence. Do not use anything that would require us to open-source or give away our own work.

6. It is your own work

You confirm the work is yours to give, does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that you are not breaking another agreement by doing it.

7. Term

Confidentiality lasts three years from the date you sign. The assignment in clause 3 is permanent. Either side can end the working relationship at any time; that does not undo anything above.

8. Practicalities

This is the whole agreement on these points and replaces anything said before it. Governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. If any part is unenforceable the rest still stands.
